PhotoFriday submission. The head of Thomas Jefferson was supposed to be located to the left of George Washington. But after 2 years of work, that section of granite was found to be badly cracked and had to be removed. The design was changed and Jefferson was squeezed in between Washington and Theodore Roosevelt. ...just a little fun fact for ya : )
