in my own world

I love headphones. They're amazing. Not in their sophistication, but in the impact such a simple device can have on me. Yes, I'm easily entertained ... as most all of my friends will attest to, but this goes beyond that. I don't listen to music through headphones that often (iPod earbuds don't count), but when I do, it's like rediscovering music. I can remember listening to Radiohead's OK Computer for the first time with headphones ... just blown away. I was in my own world for nights upon nights.

The same thing happened tonight. The switch was instantaneous; from life-speed to slow motion. It's always the little things.
