the walls of Zion

Zion National Park - Utah. Quite the place to hike. I really want to go back there again.

I'm pretty busy right now - so expect things to be even more sparse until I get back from Spain. I leave in 3 weeks. Yeeessssssssssssss. (shout-out to all my Napoleon Dynamite loving visitors).

I'm selling both my lenses, the Sigma 17-35mm f/2.8-4 & Canon 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6, and replacing them with the Canon 17-40mm f/4L and 50mm f/1.4. I think the 50mm will turn out to be a nice portrait lens on the 10D, too ... once I get the guts to start taking close-up pictures of real people : ) What will I do without a telephoto lens? Walk more.

50mm f1.4's a nice piece of kit, I'm using the f1.8 which is shoddy but has nice optics and it's great for portraits :)

Love the tones in this image.

Thanks Miles. I've heard very good things about the 1.8's optics. The one thing that swayed me to the 1.4 is its USM.
